Something Interesting…

On October 15th, 2022, Serbia defended their world title with a sweep of Brazil in Apeldoorn for a perfect 12 - 0 tournament. Tijana Boskovic was named MVP and scored 24 points in the match…hitting .380. When Brazil’s captain, Gabi, was asked her thoughts on the match, she said, “We don’t have Tijana Boskovic.” This was Boskovic’s second MVP in the World Championships in a row and she was only the second player in the tournament’s history to win back to back MVPs. She was also named the top attacker in the tournament.
